Description
Light: Thrives in bright indirect light. Best kept in direct sunlight during morning hours. The leaves can get scorched in direct, harsh afternoon sunlight. If the top of your plant starts to look bare, this most likely means that it is not getting enough light.
Water: String of Pearls does not need to be watered as frequently as most indoor plants. Allow the soil to completely dry out between waterings. If you notice the succulent's spherical leaves are flattening out, that's a good indication that the plant needs more water. Be careful not to overwater — this plant is more drought-resistant and cannot survive with wet, soggy roots.
Considerations: To propagate, fill a small pot with succulent or cactus mix and replant the cuttings in the soil. Allow the new plants to settle for a couple of days, then give them a good watering—they should take root quickly.
This plant is toxic to pets.
