Light: Bright indirect light. The more indirect sunlight the plant receives, the more variegation you will see on the leaves. Never expose it direct sunlight, you will see burn spot on the leaves. Turn your plant every week since it will reach for the light.
Watering: Allow the top inch to dry out then water thoroughly. In winter months allow the soil to dry out a little more between waterings, but never completely. This is not a drought-tolerant plant.
Stromanthe plants are more sensitive to the chemicals found in most tap water. Use filtered water or allow your tap water to sit out uncovered overnight before watering so chemicals such as chlorine can evaporate.
Humidity: Prefers a humid environment. In winter months you’ll want to add more humidity by using a pebble tray partially filled with water or a humidifier. If the leaves turn brown and crispy it’s an indication the leaves are too dry.
This is a pet friendly plant.
