Description
ZZ (Zamioculcas-Zamifolia)
This plant is tough – making it the ultimate pick for the forgetful plant owner and top pick for an easy to care for plant.
Light: ZZ plants can survive in bright indirect sunlight to low light. They’re a perfect plant to bring life to a low light space. Remember, low light does not mean no light.
Watering: Allow its soil to completely dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. This is a drought tolerate plant so you want to ensure you are not overwatering it.
Brown stalks and yellowing leaves suggest your ZZ plant has been overwatered. Make sure you allow its soil to fully dry out between watererings. Dry, crispy tips indicates your plant is underwatered or scorched from direct sunlight. If you forget to water your ZZ for too long you will see leaves fall off. If this occurs water your plant immediately and it should recover.
Considerations: By nature the ZZ has shiny leaves, never spray with leaf shine. ZZs like to be more pot bound; therefore repotting will not need to be done for quite some time.
